STHAAN’s work is driven by context, culture, and lore. These entities help us conjure volumes and spaces that are critical translations of these stories and narratives. Every piece of architecture that we produce, has an anecdote within it about its being. As a key studio culture, we’re developing an encyclopedia of these elemental stories and their translations that hold the capacity to recite a spatial fable and also when experienced together appear as a larger world of their own.

STHAAN's work was hence a collection of objects with stories, lore, anecdotes, and narratives and was selected for exhibition at the prestigious DesignXDesign exhibition. The exhibition consisted of drawings produced by us for different contexts and communities in an anti-colonized fashion, and in ways that are more true to the culture of the place. It also consisted of playful objects that visitors could see, touch and observe with their lore described in accompanying brochures.
