Vision
STHAAN / स्थान: / স্থান / സ്ഥാൻ
Noun, state, condition (at the end of compound = "being in the state of")
Founded in 2021, by Priyanka Mukherjee & Ujjayant Bhattacharyya in the rural landscapes of Assam (India), the now multi-award-winning practice, STHAAN was born out of the curiosity to seek dialogue between form and situations. At our practice, we attempt to understand existing symbiosis and form new synergies between the tangibles and intangibles through thoughtful explorations on contextual research methods, decolonised drawing representations & speculative inquiries and that can evoke an emotional relationship with architecture enriched by simultaneous journeys through imagery, space & form.
